Diablo 4 deviates a bit from the usual quest formulas, which the license and hundreds of other RPGs have accustomed us to over the decades. We can see it as a wink, but the solution is a bit reminiscent of some secrets of Dark Souls, such as access to the Dragon Sanctuary, using an emote. It must be said that a tutorial quest in Kyovashad should make us aware of this possibility, but we quickly forget about it. The same scenario is encountered in many side quests in the game, so this time you need to memorize the procedure.
Wayfarer’s prayer solution
After reading the Pilgrim’s Letter to Yelesna, head north out of town and into the blue area to find a billboard-like shrine. For the Sanctuary, use the “Thank you” emote to make a chest appear.
You can open the emote menu with “E” on PC. You’ll then need to refer to the wheel of emotes on the left so that “Thanks” is an option.
The chest contains elixirs and various magical items. You also get some gold and experience.
As mentioned above, get ready to use emotes to solve other quests, even to activate special effects in certain areas. Statues with a pedestal and a plate with instructions, scattered everywhere, are a good example.
