Once you reach the village mayor’s house in Resident Evil 4 Remake, you’ll encounter the game’s first slightly elaborate puzzle. A locked cabinet with a padlock hides a crystal ball that prevents you from progressing in the mansion, here’s the solution.
Towards the end of Chapter 2 of Resident Evil 4, you’re entitled to a first riddle that will ask you to search the environment a bit, but nothing bad. If you don’t have time to look, here’s the solution to opening the padlock of the village chief’s mansion.
How to open the mansion padlock?
Once you enter the village chief’s house, you will come across a cupboard locked with a padlock. To find the answer to this riddle, go upstairs to find a book that just gives you the answer. These words are marked there: harvest, pig, child. It is therefore necessary to align the symbols of wheat, pig and baby on the padlock so that the lock yields. Take the key object inside and head back upstairs for the rest of the puzzle.

Now that you have collected the orb, you can start placing it in the pedestal that fits snugly in the door above. To open it you need to orient the points so that they are at a good angle and match the symbol of las plagas : rely on right angles to help you figure out how to rotate the sphere. A little unsettling at first, but if you play with the triggers and the stick you should quickly find the right track.
