We tell you everything you need to know about what we think is the best magnum pistol to complete the Resident Evil 4 Remake story. In this new weapon magazine we are therefore interested in the Killer 7, a weapon named in a nod to a cult game from the Japanese publisher Capcom.

Available very (too) late in the adventure, the Killer 7 from this Resident Evil 4 remake is one of the best weapons you can get throughout the game’s 16 chapters. Available from the retailer, we’ll see here if you got a good deal to buy it. Remember Magnum ammunition can be crafted and in larger quantities if you are lucky enough to come across rare good luck charms.

How did you get Killer 7?

This gun enters the merchant’s inventory from chapter 13, for 77,000 pesetas. If your standard Magnum or the Broken Butterfly suits you on the magnum side, but the K7 still catches your eye, we recommend waiting for chapter 15: it will be available in a limited sale during this main story act. It’s a really good weapon, the best classic magnum in our opinion, but it doesn’t come to full use until really late in the adventure. However, the standard attachment should give you a significant advantage for a possible new game with more professional difficulty.

Resident Evil 4

Maximum stats

  • Power : 28
  • magazine capacity: 15
  • Reload speed: 1.4
  • Rate of Fire : 1.16

Special improvement

  • Critical damage multiplied by 5

Broken Butterfly or Killer 7?

As we mentioned in our guide to the best weapons, both magnums have roughly similar stats and where the BB’s special buff directly increases its raw damage, the Killer 7 increases its critical damage by 5. Where the difference can be played for you is that the K7 has a standard laser sight, very practical, precise, to target weak points and deal monstrous damage with critique. As far as we were concerned, we preferred the much easier maneuverability of the last weapon offered by the merchant.
