To progress through the main scenario and access the various trials, you often need to complete friendship missions with your companions in Hogwarts Legacy. This is also the case with the missions with Sebastian Pallow.
In the shadow of the mine
This quest takes place shortly after the second Guardian Trial. Sebastian, you have already offered to learn two spells that were forbidden during the previous missions: Cruciatus and Impero. You’ll have to wait until almost the end of your friendship missions to get to know Avada Kedavra, so be patient.
Meanwhile, above you can find the walkthrough, in video, of the quest called ‘In the shadow of the mine’. You will have to go through two goblin camps before you find the entrance to the Belvedere Mine, not far from there Campard-en-Haut. Don’t forget to collect the two collection chests along the way. Note that the dialog choice (between rushing in hopes or going discreetly) has absolutely no bearing on the rest of the scenario.
The Belvedere Mine: Find the triptych fragment
This dungeon (or cairn) is a required passage in the story, but you can come back to it later if you ever forget some treasures. In our video we recovered all the collectible chests that were there, so don’t hesitate to follow closely.
After your great fight against the goblins and the spidersyou will have to find three runic mechanisms to open the big door. One is already visible, the other two are behind cobwebs that you have to remove with Incendio or Confringo. One of them is a bit high so use the block on your left, also behind a web.
Then enter the room to find a piece of Isidora’s diary on the table, then the fragment of the triptych in a chest. Talk to Sebastian before you can inspect the back wall and head back to the crypt.
