Hogwarts Legacy: Should We Denounce Sebastian Pallow?

Aside from the house and wand at the start of the adventure in Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy, one of the most important choices you’ll have to make during the main story is about your fellow Slytherin, Sebastian Pallow. Not only because he’s the one who will teach you the forbidden spells during his friendship quest, but also because, depending on your answer at the end, his future will change dramatically (and so will yours).

Warning, this article contains many storyline spoilers.

Should we choose Ominis or Sebastian?

First of all, you may wonder what to answer during the many conversations with Sebastian and Ominis. In reality, this has no real impact on learning forbidden spells (it just depends on a line of dialogue with Sebastian), but it can change the way the scenes play out a bit.

For example, during the mission to learn the Impero, you can choose Omini’s or Sebastian. In the first case, you manage to reason with the two boys and leave the catacombs together. In the second case, you can learn the Impero spell and Ominis will ask you to throw it at him to get him to release you.

Since there is no friendship meter with the characters in the game, this does not affect the scenario as explained above.

Should we sue Sebastian?

During the “In the Shadow of Time” mission, near the end of the storyline, Sebastian will use Avada Kedavra on his uncle, killing him instantly. A terrible crime that Anne, his twin sister, will definitely decide not to talk to him anymore. For your part, you will have to decide with Ominis whether or not to report Sebastian to the authorities (who will logically send him to Azkaban Prison) and to Director Black.

  • If you choose to cancel : Sebastian will be expelled from school and you will never be able to talk to him again. It is Ominis who will then be present during the last two dialogues.
  • If you protect him : Sebastian will still be in the school crypt and you can even go back and talk to him about learning the three unforgivable spells if you haven’t learned them yet.
