In Hades, memories are items you can equip for each escape, each with a unique perk. There are 25 of them and you can get them by offering a bottle of Nectar for the first time to a variety of characters you will meet during your adventure. The only exception being made is for Hades’ Remembrance, where you must offer him a second bottle of Nectar, which is only possible after completing the main story.
The Companions, or Legendary Memories, can be equipped to perform a single summon per escape attempt. To get them, you need to end your relationship with 6 specific characters by gifting them multiple bottles of Nectar and then gifting them Ambrosia as soon as possible.

Peculiarities of memories
A keepsake can be placed inside the souvenir shelf at Thados and infernal weapons. Once equipped, you cannot remove it, but exchange it for another one. During an escape attempt, it’s impossible to change, until you get the enhancement through the foreman, which causes a memory shelf to appear in the room after each boss from the end of the zone, and the memory can be changed during a run.
Each memory has 3 levels of enhancement, enhancing the effect of each of them:
- Rank 1: Basic, upon obtaining
- Rank 2: Unlocked after completing 25 enemy rooms
- Rank 3: Unlocked after completing 50 enemy rooms (from rank 2)
Peculiarities of Companions
Companions cannot be changed during an escape, even with a Foreman upgrade. You can upgrade them by offering them Ambrosia from the Keepsake Shelf, and their use during a run is initially unique, then it can increase to 5 through improvements. This limit can even be exceeded by the Brooch of the night at a source of Charon. Finally, they can only be used once per room.
