Yakira Rooms, a well-known actress, recently passed away at the age of 42. She was best known as the story editor for the popular CBS show NCIS: Hawai’i. The program will pay tribute to her in an upcoming episode, which will air in January 2023. Yakira’s family acknowledged their grief and said her untimely death had a profound effect on all of them. They regarded her as someone who gained great respect in their community and said she was living proof of what it was like to pursue your ambitions.

According to their statement:

“Yakira’s enthusiasm extended beyond her day-to-day business activities; she enjoyed helping people find a way out. She believed in equality and the desegregation of people of color to create a level playing field for all.”

Her family also said her desire to help others led to the creation of the CureConstance Foundation, which helped people who suffered from health problems but could not afford treatment due to financial constraints. Yakira died of acute asphyxiation, according to her relatives, after having trouble breathing and being unconscious on Nov. 30. She was with her mother at a mall in Newport Beach, California at the time. Adebola Afolabi started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the Chambers family. The page has raised over $25,000 and plans to raise a total of $70,000.

Before her death, Yakira Chambers was working on a pilot about the life of former gang boss Larry Hoover.

Yakira Chambers was on the south side of Chicago and attended Southern Illinois University for her education. Before joining the entertainment industry, she worked as a software quality assurance manager. Chambers received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration with the goal of pursuing a career in film and television. She began her career at the Los Angeles-based Baron Brown Studio and then attended Magdalen College. Yakira began her career in 2007 and was an executive producer of the 2012 comedy MO Diaries.
