Next Level Chef returns for a second season on FOX after Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 10:30 PM ET. However, the program will return to its regular time slot on Thursday, February 16 at 8 p.m. ET. Three world-renowned chefs, Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais, will compete in the culinary competition as mentors to 18 exceptional chefs, divided into teams of three. Shay Spence, a traveling food writer, chef and entrepreneur, is one of 18 chefs who will compete in Season 2. On Fox’s cooking show, he will be a member of Team Arrington.

Shay Spence, a kitchen and travel writer, social media content developer and consultant, will participate in Season 2 of Next Level Chef. As he makes a career out of writing about cooking and travelling, he is just as passionate about it. However, that was not the case when he first started. He attended Tulane University as an undergraduate, where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science and government in 2012. However, Spence quickly changed his mind and applied to the Institute of Culinary Education to study culinary arts and management. In 2014, he graduated from the institution.

During his time at Tulane, he interned at many organizations, including the Trust for the National Mall, where he spent three months as a marketing intern. He then worked as a campus outreach supervisor for Students of the World. Spence was assigned to act as a liaison between the university’s professors and the non-profit that helps students travel to underdeveloped countries to “record success stories.”

In 2014, he worked as a Test Kitchen Intern for Good Housekeeping and Every Day with Rachael Ray after graduating from culinary school. The Next Level Chef season 2 cast member also worked as an editorial assistant before earning a position as a culinary editor for People Magazine, where he stayed for six years until leaving in 2021. Shay Spence has a significant social media following, with over 141,000 Instagram accounts. followers. He often uses the site to share culinary and travel-related information, including recipes inspired by other renowned meals or created by him.

The Super Bowl Super Snacks series is hosted by the Season 2 contestant of Next Level Chef. He has eight events on the schedule so far, with the most recent addition being herb butter chicken wings. The social media influencer joins Nyesha Arrington’s crew on Season 2 of Next Level Chef. Alex Morizio (48), April Clayton (39), Nuri Muhammad (22), Omallys Omi Hopper (39) and Pilar Omega will be part of the group (38).

Team Blais members Christopher Spinosa, Darryl Taylor, Kamahlai Stewart, Matt Groark, Mehreen Karim and Tineke Younger are among the other chief testers on the schedule. They will also face Cassie Yeung, Mark McMillian, Michelle Calcagni, Preston Nguyen, Tucker Ricchio and Vincent Vinny Alia from Team Ramsay.
