One of the most important ways to show solidarity and support for queer people is by attending and participating in Pride events. But with the cost of Pride events rising, some people are wondering if they should pay to attend. The answer is no, you don’t have to pay to get one Pride event. However, it’s important to remember that Pride events are run by volunteers and often rely on donations to keep them running. If you can afford to donate it is always appreciated. But don’t worry if you can’t – there’s no shame in enjoying Pride for free.
