WoW: All changes made in Dragonflight Patch 10.1

Season 2 of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is an opportunity for the developers to make significant changes to certain pre-existing Mythic + Mode additions, creating a real refresh in the proposed offering. This article summarizes all these changes.

As a reminder, Season 2 airs on Wednesday, May 9, 2023 at 5:00 p.m (Paris time) in Europe. New dungeons are available in Mythic Mode+ and replace the eight available in Season 1.

Dragonflight Season 2 Affix

Unlike what Blizzard has been offering since Battle for Azeroth Season 1, Dragonflight Season 2 will not introduce a new season addition for Mythic Keys level 10 and above. This also implies that the affix lightning strike of season 1 will stop and nothing will take its place.

The idea behind this change was explained by the fact that since Dragonflight, the dungeons undergo a seasonal rotation and take on the role of a seasonal affix with regard to the search for innovation as the expansion evolves. Since dungeons change regularly and players no longer have to farm the same dungeons for about two years, the seasonal addition no longer makes sense to Blizzard.

Level 10+

Removed and not replaced

Opponents have 5% more hit points. During battle, players are supercharged with Primordial Energy from Raszageth’s endless storm. This surge of power is not without risk, and not discharging it quickly can have disastrous consequences.

Aggravated Affix

The prefix worsen, which was reserved for level 7 or higher keys, has been completely removed from the list of affixes that can be present on a given key. As of Dragonflight Season 2, Mythic Keys are therefore no longer affected by this addition. It is replaced by a new affix: Intangible (guide to come).

worsen

Players take increasing damage over time until they are healed.

Explosive affix

The prefix explosive, which is reserved for level 7 or higher keys, always summons orbs that explode and deal damage on a short roll if not destroyed. On the other hand, their appearance speed has been reduced and each of the spheres has much more health points than before: a simple melee attack is no longer enough to destroy them! Other than that, nothing changes on the side of this affix: area attacks still don’t affect orbs, so players must target them in order to deal damage to them.

explosive

In combat, enemies periodically summon explosive orbs that explode if not destroyed.

Seismic affix

The prefix Seismic, which was reserved for level 7 or higher keys, has been completely removed from the list of affixes that can be present on a given key. As of Dragonflight Season 2, Mythic Keys are therefore no longer affected by this addition. It is replaced by a new affix: Dazed (guide coming soon).

Seismic

All players periodically send out a shock wave that damages nearby allies and interrupts them.

Volcanic affix

The prefix Volcanic, which was reserved for level 7 or higher keys, has been completely removed from the list of affixes that can be present on a given key. As of Dragonflight Season 2, Mythic Keys are therefore no longer affected by this addition. It is replaced by a new affix: Tangle (guide coming soon).

Seismic

In combat, enemies will occasionally spawn flames under the feet of distant players.
