The United States of All Plot and Series Summary

The translator, Al, who served with Riley’s battalion in Afghanistan, has just arrived to start a new life in America. Riley, a naval war veteran, struggles to adjust to civilian life in Ohio.

No one wants to think about Riley’s time fighting in the Marine Corps. Riley was lucky enough to meet interpreter Al during the fighting, thanks to the hand of fate. This allowed everyone to adapt and stay out of trouble.

They also happened to cross paths at the airport. Really, Riley didn’t share the fantastic news that his marriage had failed and was on the brink of dissolution.

Even the typical daughter, who dreamed of a quiet and complete family from the moment her father left, does not stop. Al chooses to use his diplomatic skills in this situation as well and tries to bring the spouses together while it is still possible.

However, these are not just domestic disputes; while her husband served and put himself in danger, Vanessa sought comfort from her best friend. Al tries to fit into American culture and society.
