Season 10 of Below Deck is scheduled to launch on Bravo in less than a week. After the disappointing season 9, people are hoping that the next series will be more fun. Along with acclaimed returning cast members, the soon-to-be-released series will expose audiences to new recruits. Ben Willoughby is one of them. Ben Willhoughby will work as deckhand on the luxury boat. Ben is 27 years old and is from the Gold Coast of Australia. The teaser for the next season also suggests the possibility of some steam between Ben and his partner Camille.
The official summary of the program is as follows:
“Below Deck returns to the Caribbean for its tenth season, captained by sea stallion Captain Lee. Crystal clear seas and strikingly tapered mountains, the Pitons, on the lush island of St. Lucia are likely to delight even the most discerning visitor.”
The summary goes on to say:
“Aboard the St. David, the largest motor yacht in Below Deck’s history, the crew are content with the opulent, gargantuan 197-foot ship, but they soon realize that a bigger boat brings more problems.”
As the series’ Bravo debut approaches, here’s everything you need to know about new sailor, Ben Willoughby.
Below Deck’s Ben Willoughby is an adrenaline junkie who joined a large yacht crew in France.
Ben describes himself in his Bravo profile as an “ocean child at heart”. His childhood friend’s “yachtie lifestyle” influenced him. His biography also stated:
“Ben first set sail on the high seas in 2020, when he joined the crew of a mega yacht in France. Ben has spent the past three years working as a deckhand and personal trainer onboard yachts, combining his passion for fitness with his love of the ocean.”
Add to that:
“Ben, a fun-loving person who believes that “a Pina Colada is always a smart option,” is ready to get the party on board. This bold Aussie is determined to stand out on St. David’s deck.”
Ben has also received personal instructions aboard other ships. The Below Deck actor’s Instagram feed features footage of his travel adventures, fitness quests, tattoos and lavish lifestyle. Some of his posts also contain pictures of the sailor and his friends.
Earlier this year, in October, Ben posted a portrait shot of himself from his Bravo profile with the caption:
“• witty • charismatic • Australian “All hands on deck” Okay, salty seals. I can no longer keep my mouth shut since the truth is officially out: I am a season 10 cast member with @belowdeckbravo. The company needs major reforms and I am leading the effort. But first, keep an eye on the walkie for the latest Below Deck drama. You can find me in the middle of the action on @bravotv during Below Deck Season 10. See you on deck, salty sailors.
Ben also hosts the podcast Word On The Teak | SuperYacht crew.
