Vincent said he and other league officials spoke to the game’s umpire, Shawn Smith, who then informed both head coaches that they could take as much time with their teams as they wanted. He said that despite Joe Buck’s on-air statements about resuming play, there was no such consideration.
Buck stated that the players were told they would have about five minutes to be ready to resume play after returning to the locker rooms. “That’s the word we get from the league and the word we get from down on the field, but nobody moves,” Buck said.
Vincent told reporters on a conference call first thing Tuesday morning, “It wasn’t about going along with the game.” We’ve never considered it in a competitive light. A league spokesperson confirmed Monday night that the Bills and their staff will fly back to Buffalo.

Are there plans to resume play?
