When is Nanny’s release date?

Nanny had its international premiere January 22, 2022at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize in the American Dramatic Competition.

Amazon Studios and Blumhouse Productions have acquired the film’s distribution rights in March 2022.

Where to watch Nanny

Nanny had a special screening in Toronto International Film Festival in September, followed by a screening at the AFI Fest in November. Nanny was released on Amazon Prime Video as well as in theaters.

Nanny was released in select theaters on November 23, 2022, by Amazon Studios. The film is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video December 16, 2022.

What is Nanny’s plot?

According to the trailer and official synopsis, the focus of the film is on Aisha, who came from Senegal to improve the quality of life for her and her son Lamine. Aisha accepts a job nannying for an affluent couple named Amy and Adam, moves into their lavish Manhattan home, and begins taking care of the couple’s daughter, Rose.

Aisha even begins to harp romantic feelings for Malik, whom she happens to meet one day. But all is not rosy, and she is haunted by Lamine’s absence and can only hope that one day she will be able to complete her family.

However, trouble is brewing at Amy and Adam’s house, and Aisha soon learns more about the horror lurking beneath the set seems perfect outside. Amy gradually takes control and starts to take Aisha’s money from her.

Soon after, Aisha starts have strange nightmares which predict terrible things for both Lamine and herself, leaving her to wonder if she will ever be able to leave the situation and give her son the happiness and future she longs for.

Starting December 16 you can watch “Nanny” at home exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Because Amazon usually releases new titles on 12 o’clock GMT, “Nanny” could start streaming as early at 7 p.m. ET On December 15.
