Omri is a retired actor, perhaps best known for playing John Ross Ewing III, one of the main characters in the romantic drama series “Dallas”, which aired from 1978 to 1991, and which also starred Larry Hangman, Ken Kercheval and Patrick Duffy. The series is about JR Ewing who works in the Texas oil business and uses methods like blackmail and manipulation to achieve his goals.

Early life and education
Omri was raised alongside his older brother Michael and sister Lali in Los Angeles by their Israeli Jewish parents Yoram and Rina Katz. The family moved to Israel for a year when Omri was about six years old, but after realizing their life in the US was better, they moved back to Los Angeles.
