Makoto Yukimura is the author and illustrator of the Japanese historical manga series Vinland Saga. The series began serialization in the youth-oriented Weekly Shonen Magazine before transferring to the monthly manga magazine Monthly Afternoon, which is aimed at young adult males.
The series was collected in twenty-five bound volumes. Vinland Saga is also licensed in English by Kodansha USA. Wit Studio aired a 24-episode anime television series adaptation on NHK General TV from July to December 2019.

He wonders what will happen if Ivar and the others are right and a war with the Lnu breaks out. He inquires with Thorfinn what he intends to do in such a case.

He asks Thorfinn if he wants to run from here to somewhere else. Einar asks because he loves the place and doesn’t want to leave. Throfinn replies that war is impossible and that he will do anything to keep it that way.
