Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Episode 1 Recap

Kisaki turns his attention to Takemichi and accuses him of betraying him after killing Chifuyu. Then he hits Takemichi with a leg shot. Takemichi finds himself near a river with his leg broken when he later opens his eyes. Though it turns out that Kazutora saved him, he admits that his true motivation was to save Chifuyu.

Kazutora expresses disappointment that Toman has lost his way and in no uncertain terms reminds Takemichi of the new era of villains they all once fantasized about. Unfortunately, Toman has been corrupted by money and is no longer what he once wanted to be. Prior to his passing, Chifuyu discussed changing Toman back to how it once was when Kazutora met him.

Unfortunately, he had been fighting alone all along and had no faith in Takemichi to help him. When Takemichi tries to uncover the causes of Toman’s corruption, Kazutora admits that Mikey is responsible for how things have turned out. He cannot return to normal due to the corrupting influences of the Black Dragon’s wealth and Kisaki’s cruelty.

After a long conversation during their journey, Kazutora pulls over and signals Takemichi to get out of the vehicle. He informs him that someone is waiting in the next alley. Takemichi seems happy when he recognizes Naoto, but is surprised when he is taken into custody and charged with murder. Later, Naoto meets with him privately to talk about what happened.

Have a look at the following:

With every change Takemichi has made in the past, he confesses that his timeline has changed dramatically. Naoto is still a police officer, but Takemichi rose through the ranks at Toman. Unfortunately, the adjustments were not enough to save Hinata, who was killed again by Atsushi Sendo on August 10. The search for evidence against Kisaki was then taken up by Naoto, Chifuyu and Kazutora.

He then plays some videos that Chifuyu secretly made and hid from Takemichi. In one, Takemichi orders Atsushi Sendo to kill a person without knowing who they are. All he knows is that Toman has found the individual annoying, which is why he wants them to die.

In another video, Takemichi can be seen cursing and smashing furniture as he regrets giving Atsushi the orders that allegedly caused Hinata’s death. Those tapes were owned by Chifuyu, but he kept them a secret to protect Takemichi. Understandably upset by what he has learned, Takemichi bends to his knees.

Naoto tries to comfort him as he sobs by saying that he is probably being used by others. Takemichi no longer wants to continue because the outcomes have mostly been the same in the end. At that moment, Naoto reminds him that he only lives because of him.

He claims that his efforts have allowed them to learn so much, and while Hinata continues to die in each timeline, at least they have progressed.

What is the key to saving Hinata’s life?

Takemichi is eventually calmed down by Naoto, who then shares an intriguing perspective on their current predicament. He says that despite their best efforts, Kisaki always gets his way and Hinata keeps dying for some reason. Naoto no longer believes this to be mere coincidence, leaving only one conclusion.

It is likely that Kisaki is fixated on Hinata and Takemichi. Considering that Kisaki had praised him as his hero before attempting to kill him, this makes sense. Naoto informs Takemichi that this is the last chance to go back in time as he is about to be transported to the detention center.

Takemichi agrees, and after being sent to the past, meets Hinata while bowling. He notes that Hakkai Shiba actually plays next to him after his fourth strike in a row.
