The world turns pink and glitters in the first ‘Barbie’ video teaser.

If the first official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated ‘Barbie’ movie is any indication, life in plastic is truly amazing.

The 75-second trailer released Friday by Warner Bros. has been released, introduces fans to Margot Robbie as the legendary doll that changed the landscape of children’s toys. Warner Bros. Discovery is the parent company of both CNN and Warner Bros. Pictures.

The teaser for the live-action movie directed by Greta Gerwig begins with a parody of “2001: A Space Odyssey” in earth tones. Young children play quietly with their dolls in a desert. A narrator says, “Since the beginning of time, when the first little girl was born, dolls have existed. However, the dolls were and always have been baby dolls. Until …”

The girls turn on their outdated dolls in response to the appearance of a giant Barbie wearing the original striped swimsuit introduced by Mattel in 1959.

The ad then shifts to short clips of Barbie’s neon pink dream world before concluding with a dance sequence.

A blonde Ryan Gosling appears as Ken, Barbie’s tanned, muscular, and plastic boyfriend.

Baumbach and Gerwig co-wrote the script for the picture. Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, and America Ferrera are among the great cast members.

The trailer has been largely well received on social media so far.

One viewer tweeted, “I’m taking a week off to go somewhere on vacation without talking when this comes out.”

Someone else stated firmly that it will be “the best movie ever”.

The release of “Barbie” is expected on July 21, 2023.
