Early life and education
Johnna was raised as a single child in Los Angeles by her mother Rebecca, who is a nurse, and her father, who is a truck driver. Johnna grew up watching movies with her parents and so got interested in acting.
After enrolling at Oklahoma’s Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences, she joined the drama club and starred in several plays performed there, while also taking an interest in creative writing and writing columns for the school newspapers. Johnna was also in the school choir and a member of a jazz band. After taking her matriculation exam, she enrolled at Santa Monica College in California, graduating in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Film, Motion Picture, and Video Studies.
Career as a writer and other ventures
Johnna began her career in July 2011 when she joined Hollister Co. began working as a sales associate and model, a job she held for two years.
In May 2013, she began working at Rusty’s Surf Ranch as a guest trainer and became a server in February 2014, while at the same time joining We Are Famous, Inc. pass on material to film directors and producers.
In April 2015, Johnna became a key holder at the clothing and fashion company Roots, while simultaneously working at William B+ Friends as their assistant manager, responsible for inventory quantities, day-to-day operations, and ordering new merchandise. In February 2016, she was promoted to lead salesperson at Roots, which brought with it new responsibilities such as counting cash drawers and checking deposits, restocking supplies and assisting customers.
Since January 2018, Johnna works as an assistant manager at the clothing and fashion company Greats.
Love life and relationships
Johnna met Duff Goldman in 2015, when she was 22 and he was 41, but that didn’t seem to bother the two, although her parents, who were initially against the relationship, did. However, as time went on, Johnna and Duff grew closer and her parents finally accepted the fact that their daughter was dating someone 19 years older than them. In January 2019 they have married in a small ceremony at the Museum of Natural History attended only by their closest friends and family, and led by Johnna’s grandfather.
The two have no children together and are rather focused on their careers.
It is widely believed that Johnna was in a long-term relationship with her college sweetheart, and they dated for about three years before breaking up when she met Duff. Duff also had several relationships, but none lasted more than a year.

Johnna is a very social person and loves to spend time with her friends, while her Instagram account is filled with photos of her and her family and friends. He is best known for his role as himself on the reality TV show “Ace of Cakes”, in which he can be seen working at his shop, Charm City Cakes. The show also stars Erica Reid Harrison and Geoffry Manthorne, and currently has 10 seasons and 120 episodes.
Duff grew up in Missouri alongside his brother Willie, through their mother who was a housewife and their father who was a businessman. At the age of four, Duff’s mother found him watching Chef Tell on TV holding a meat cleaver.

When Duff was 10, his parents divorced, but he remained on good terms with both of them, often traveling from Northern Virginia to Cape Cod, Massachusetts and vice versa. He attended McLean High School where he was a hockey player and later transferred to Sandwich High School where he graduated in 1992. He continued his education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, graduating in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree.
He was only 14 when he started working in the kitchen, first at a bagel shop and then at McDonald’s as a fry cook. While attending college, he applied for a job as a chef at a restaurant in Baltimore, but because his resume wasn’t good enough, they hired him to just make cookies and cornbread.
He moved to Washington DC after graduating and started working at the Olives restaurant where he baked the bread.
After years of collecting money and ideas, he started his own pastry shop Charm City Cakes in 2012, initially from his home with two employees, but as his cakes became more popular, he hired additional people, including painters and architects who designed his bakery . . Since then, the pastry shop has become one of the most popular in Baltimore, and Duff has begun using burners, drills, and grinders for his pies. Some of the most notable people he has cared for include Barack Obama, Tom Clancy, and the entire cast of the ’30 Rock’ and ‘Lost’ series.
After gaining recognition, Duff competed as a judge in many competitions and championships, such as “Holiday Baking Championship” in 2014, the “Kids Baking Championship” and “Spring Baking Championship” in 2015, while some of his last appearances in TV series was in his own reality series “Duff Takes the Cake”, the TV game show “Double Dare” in 2019 and the live-action pre-school series “Ryan’s Mystery Playdate”.
Duff is also a musician and plays bass guitar for the band Foigrock, having played with Messgram in the past; his favorite band is Clutch, and his dream is to play for them one day. He is Jewish and very religious, and has spoken at Cornell University about the importance of being Jewish and doing charitable work.
Duff is missing some of his toes, which he lost in a motorcycle accident in 2012.
