Since Stranger Things first appeared on Netflix in 2016, it has been one of the most watched TV shows.

The Duffer Brothers’ original series combines 1980s memories with thrilling storytelling to create a compelling show that pays homage to the great works of Stephen King and Stephen Spielberg while also working well as a sci-fi story with likable characters.

There have been three seasons of Stranger Things so far, but everyone’s attention is now on Stranger Things 4.

The fourth season is one of the most anticipated new TV seasons currently in the works, and fans are eager to learn as much as they can about the upcoming episodes. So we’ve rounded up everything we know so far about Stranger Things season 4, from the story to the cast and episode names.

When does Stranger Things season 4 come out?

Netflix hasn’t yet decided when Stranger Things season 4 will be available, but the COVID-19 outage will have changed their plans. Due to the pandemic, filming for the new season could only continue for a few months before it had to stop.

It will not start again until October 2020. There would be seven months of filming from January to August 2020, but Stranger Things has a long post-production schedule.

Stranger Things season 4 won’t be out until four months after filming at the earliest. At least it was much longer. So season 4 probably won’t release until late 2021, and it’s more likely to release in early 2022.

The plot of Season 4 of Stranger Things

Most of Stranger Things 4’s plot is unknown, but when filming began in February 2020, a brief synopsis was released. This confirmed that David Harbor’s Hopper will be back and that the character wasn’t actually dead after all.

You may recall that at the end of Stranger Things 3, Hopper killed himself in front of the huge portal the Russians built beneath Hawkins, Indiana. In a post-credits scene, we were taken to a Russian prison, where guards in one of the cells were talking about “the American.”

In Season 4 of Stranger Things, Hopper is imprisoned in Kamchatka, Russia. There “he will face both human and other dangers.” We even saw in the post-credits scene of Stranger Things 3 that the Russians have their own Demogorgon.

The Duffer Brothers have also said that Season 4 will not take place in Hawkins, Indiana. When we last saw the Byers family, they had just adopted Eleven and were leaving Hawkins.

However, that doesn’t mean Hawkins will be left out of Season 4. From the actors’ descriptions, we know that the Hellfire Club, Hawkins High’s Dungeons & Dragons club, will be a big part of next season.
