Once again, a hit adult animated series is not returning for a second season on Netflix because Inside Job has been canceled. As rumors of Inside Job’s cancellation spread, the show’s creator Shion Takeuchi issued a Twitter post to confirm the news. Takeuchi emailed his readers, “I’m sorry guys, it’s true,” Takeuchi wrote. “I am devastated to confirm that Netflix has decided to cancel Season 2 of Inside Job.
Over the years, these characters have become real people to me, and I’m devastated that I can’t watch them grow up. Reagan and Brett deserved to get their ends and finally find happiness. And I would have loved to share with you what awaits you all.”
Takeuchi concluded, “To everyone who watched, thank you for riding along. Even though I’m sad, it helps to know that there are people who cared about these characters as much as I did.
The cancellation of Inside Job has been confirmed
Chase Mitchell, one of the show’s writers, reportedly announced the cancellation in a few tweets on SaturdayJanuary 7, which he has since deleted. “I hate this kind of message, but our show was canceled on Friday,” Mitchell explained. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but seriously, that streamer doesn’t care about animation anymore, so who cares.” Social media users who are fans of Inside Job seem to share this dismay.

Netflix debuted the first 10 episodes of Inside Job Season 1 on October 22, 2021. On November 18, 2020, the series resumed for the second half of Season 1.
