The Great (originally titled The Great: An Occasionally True Story and later The Great: An Almost Completely Untrue Story) is a historical and satirical black comedy-drama television series loosely based on the rise of Catherine the Great, Empress of All Russia, described by her Commissioner Hulu as “anti-historical”.

The ten episodes of the first season have been released on Hulu May 15, 2020. The series stars Elle Fanning as Empress Catherine II and Nicholas Hoult as Emperor Peter III.

When will the great season 3 come out? (publication date)

Hulu, The Great’s streaming partner, has announced the renewal of the series for Season 3 January 11, 2022, expected to release worldwide in late 2022 or early 2023, as a streaming partner not revealed the exact release date with confirmation of the series renewal. Nevertheless, we expect it to be released earlier than Season 2.

The fact that every important member of the royal family court will return for The Great season 3 will surprise no one.

Both Nicholas Hoult and Elle Fanning will back to reprise their roles as the titular Queen Catherine and Peter, her careless husband, respectively.

Together with the leading couple their close confidants and advisers will all return, as most are still alive and (despite a few imprisoned) have not been banished…for now.

Bad news, Catherine fans, currently there is none The Great season 3 trailer.

I’m afraid we’re still out in the cold here because filming hasn’t started yet and there is no footage for a promotional video for the upcoming season.

However, we will keep you informed as soon as the Emmy-nominated the next teaser of the show is released.

Speculation about the plot of season 3 of The Great

The plot of season 3 of The Great is unknown at this time, but thanks to statements from the crew and the cliffhanger ending of season 2, we may have a pretty good idea of what our favorite monarch will be up to in the future.

At the end of Season 2, we saw a lot of murder, tears, and complicated relationships reach their peak. from Catherine diplomatic solutions led to her assassinating the sultan of the Ottoman Empire and being put under extreme pressure to kill her dethroned husband, Peter, in a spectacular finale.

Likewise, Peter found himself in a predicament in the ongoing battle for the throne. The captive king had to choose between his survival or his heart as his good friends, and the slippery former king of Sweden explained how to kill Catherine to live peacefully.

So it seems that the husband and wife team is embroiled in another civil war. However, this time they both invested feelings and affection for each other; it’s all very spicy, isn’t it?

Catherine decided to do it strengthen her dominion once and for all by cryingly stabbing Peter in the back in the last episode of Season 2. However, it turns out that she killed a lookalike instead of her real husband (oops).

Peter came out to comfort her after seeing her remorse; however, both were left in the awkward situation of realizing that despite loving each other, they too wanted to kill each other.
