The Chinese media are lashing out at Musk’s tweet about the corona virus

China’s state media is not happy with one of Elon Musk’s recent tweets, warning that it could cost the world’s richest man business.

According to a report from CNBC, The world time called out the CEO of Tesla and Twitter for putting forward what they call a “conspiracy theory defaming China” about covid leaking from a Chinese lab.

Musk responded to a tweet claiming that Anthony S. Fauci, the former medical adviser to President Biden and Trump, funded the creation of the coronavirus.

“He did it through a conduit (EcoHealth),” Musk tweeted, suggesting the unproven theory was true.

In a private social post,The world time snapped back, “these comments of his have been used continuously by those US right-wing and anti-China media outlets hostile to China as material to entrap China.”

Don’t bite the hand that feeds you

The world time also asked if Musk is “breaking the pot of China,” a phrase similar to the English phrase “biting the hand that feeds you,” according to CNBC reporter Eunice Woon.

Poor relations with the Chinese government can be disastrous for business. China is Tesla’s second-largest market after the United States, accounting for about 40 percent of total sales. Tesla also has a huge factory in Shanghai.

Musk has not commented on the Worldwide timesafter.
