Why did the creators cancel season 4 of Siren?
Eric Wald and Dean White’s mermaid fantasy drama was a new take on the fantasy genre, but it couldn’t hold the audience’s attention for long. Even though the show has quite a few viewers and many fans are still waiting for an update on how season 3 ended with a cliffhanger, it’s hard to say if the show will come back or not.
When the world stopped working, the third season started. Due to the pandemic, it has been difficult for the show to get back on its feet. The show needed a lot of visual freedom and a large area of land to film on, which was another problem.
The show’s creators also made it clear that they couldn’t come up with a good story for the next season. At that moment everything was right. The Siren Mermaids will likely return for new episodes, but you can definitely catch up with them by streaming their past seasons on Freeform.
What could be the plot of Siren season 4?
Even though the third season was great, we don’t know much about what happened. Since season 4 has been canceled, there’s not much to say about it. If the show is picked up by another streaming service, we can expect season 4 to continue the same story as season 3.
The season-ending episode showed that the story was mostly about Hope and the other mermaids. Tia tried to get rid of them. Ryn and her larger army were able to defeat Tia. Ben helped save Hope and took them to a safe place.
