Simon Halls spent his early years in his hometown of Toronto where he was raised by his parents; however, their names have not been revealed. Simon attended Crescent School in Toronto and then attended North Toronto Collegiate Institute. After his matriculation exam, he moved to the US and enrolled at the University of Southern California, graduating in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree.
Professional career as a publicist
After graduation, Simon Halls began his career in the world of public relations. For some time he worked for the publicity department of Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., a mass media and entertainment conglomerate, and established his career as a publicist. In 2018, Matt Ross Craine starred in the sci-fi drama “Jonathan”, played Sean in the comedy-drama “Papi Chulo” and played the role of Sam in the drama “Viper Club”. In the same year, he directed the episode of the FX true crime anthology series “The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story”, after which he appeared in the role of McCoy Whitman in the NBC sitcom “Will & Grace” (2018-2020).
