Shooting while filming music videos in French Montana injures several people

While shooting a music video for French Montana, there was a shooting that left several people injured. Thursday night there was a shooting outside a restaurant in Miami Gardens where South Florida rapper French Montana was making a music video.

Several people were injured. Miami Gardens police detective Diana Gourgue said NBC connected WTVJ that police were called to The Licking restaurant on Northwest 27th Street because someone had been shot.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue says a total of 10 people were injured. Six of them were taken to hospital by ambulance, four of them drove there themselves.

The confrontation that led to the shooting took place outside the restaurant, according to police. Ced Mogul, a rapper, told WTVJ that he heard gunshots when he was at the recording session for the French Montana music video, which took place behind the diner and a nearby KFC.

“Our hearts are heavy and go out to the victims of this senseless act,” The Licking, a multi-location DJ Khaled restaurant group, said in a statement CNN.

“We didn’t know a video was being shot and found out at the last minute that French Montana was shooting a scene in the back parking lot. We have no idea what actually happened. The Licking restaurant has nothing to do with the incident and has asked the police for the necessary images.”
