When will “Shin Ultraman” get a US release?
On January 11 and 12, ‘Shin Ultraman’ will premiere in cinemas across the United States through Fathom Events. Subtitles will be used for the January 11 screenings, while English dub will be used for the January 12 screenings.

Is there a place to watch Shin Ultraman online?
In the United States, “Shin Ultraman” has not yet been made available for streaming, although the film became available for streaming on November 18, 2022 on Amazon Prime video in Japan.

Is it available to buy on DVD or Blu-ray?
No, but it’s scheduled to hit shelves in spring 2023. Cleopatra Entertainment stated in a press release that they purchased the US rights to “Shin Ultraman” in January 2023 and that the film would be released “on VOD platforms, as well as a Deluxe Home Entertainment Blu-Ray and DVD release” in the spring of that year.
The film will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on April 12, 2023; in fact, there will be three different versions, each of which will have over 100 minutes of additional content.
What is “Shin Ultraman” about?
‘Shin Ultraman’, like ‘Shin Godzilla’, is a comedic reinvention of a classic Japanese series; in this case, it follows the adventures of the SSSP Kaiju defense task force, commanded by Kimio Tamura, as they battle the monsters known as “Kaiju” (Hidetoshi Nishijima). The so-called Ultraman crashes to Earth to save the day as a particularly deadly Kaiju threatens the world.
Starring Nishijima, Takumi Saitoh (“Shin Godzilla”) and Masami Nagasawa (“Mother”), “Shin Ultraman” was directed by Shinji Higuchi (“Attack on Titan”) and written by director and screenwriter Hideaki Anno (“Shin Godzilla,” “Neon Genesis Evangelion”).
