Scott Alexander, of America’s Got Talent fame, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the age of 52. Jenny Alexander, Scott’s assistant at the American talent show, delivered the heartbreaking news of the magician’s death. She posted two family photos and a snapshot of Scott on Instagram on Monday, Feb. 6, informing her followers that Scott “had a stroke while working on a cruise ship in St. Kitts.”

Jenny Alexander said in the description of her Instagram post:

“My husband passed away yesterday. My children have lost their father. He died of a stroke while working on a cruise ship in St. Kitts and never came back to us. We’re devastated.”

Scott Alexander performed as a magician on America’s Got Talent and reached the quarterfinals.

Scott Alexander, a contestant on Season 6 of America’s Got Talent, died after suffering a stroke.

As mentioned earlier, the magician who died of a stroke was a participant in the sixth season of the popular American talent show. Scott auditioned for a magical performance using a ‘levitation’ technique on the first episode of America’s Got Talent Season 6 (2011). He seemed to make a lady materialize out of nowhere, supported by water, and then levitate. Scott Alexander’s performance was unanimously accepted by the panel of judges, which included Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel, and he qualified for the Vegas Round. Scott was one of three magicians who performed stage performances in the first episode of Vegas Roud (the 11th episode of the sixth season), starring “Fantastic Fig and Cat” and Michael Turco.

However, Scott was the only one of the “Judges’ Favourites” to advance to the next round. Scott Alexander performed an illusion show at Vegas Roud in which a lady disappeared and reappeared after traveling from one side of a circle to the other. He advanced to the quarter-finals of Season 6 after unanimous approval from all judges.

Scott Alexander was featured on the fourth week of America’s Got Talent season 6 quarterfinals. Scott performed another magical performance, causing a gospel choir to disappear and reappear from afar. Although the seated audience applauded loudly, Scott was unfortunately expelled from the competition after his performance failed to garner enough votes.

Scott was featured in Penn & Teller: Fool Us Season 2 alongside another America’s Got Talent (Season 7) graduate, The Magic of Puck after being kicked out of AGT. After Scott Alexander died, Jonathan Goodwin, a former escapologist and daredevil, took to Twitter to express his feelings. Here’s what Goodwin said on Twitter:

Scott’s wife, Jenny Alexander, and their three children survive him.
