Ozark Season 4: Part 2 Spoiler Review: The Byrdes Fly One Last Time To The Heart Of The American Nightmare
After five tense years, Netflix’s “Ozark” has concluded its story with a half season of seven episodes which for the most part plays like any other full season.
New threats emerge and the Byrdes — Marty and Wendy (Jason Bateman and Laura Linney) — plan to outsmart them and take their family together as they appease the FBI and continue to launder money for a Mexican drug cartel.
“Ozark” Season 4: Part 2 keeps the revolving door of chaos moving, but while it remains watchable and completely binge-worthy, it doesn’t always feel like it puts the pieces in place for a definitive conclusion to the show. Much of what happens has a business-as-usual feel to it, as the Byrdes flip through plans and come into conflict with several powerful players.
Even the smallest details are starting to sound familiar, like Marty’s Charlie Brown Blue wardrobe, which appears to consist of the same blue plaid shirt with rolled up sleeves which we’ve seen him wear many times before, in keeping with the show’s color grading.
