One person is dead and two injured after a shooting in Baltimore

On Saturday, at least one person was shot and killed and two other people were injured, police said. After 6 p.m. Saturday, police went to the corner of Pennsylvania and Laurens Ave., where they found two adult men and an adult woman shot, Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said.

Police believe a gunman or several gunmen opened firebut they don’t know whether they were shooting at people in a car or at people on the sidewalk.

Baltimore police say one of the men, a 43-year-old driver, was found dead at a nearby hospital. Both the 23-year-old woman and the 65-year-old man who are adults are said to be in stable condition.

The shooting caused a car accident that injured two boys, ages 2 months and 3 years old, Baltimore police said in an updated press release on Sunday. Harrison had first said that one of the people shot was a two-year-old child, but that was not true.

“After medical treatment, doctors determined that the children had no gunshot wounds. Both victims suffered head trauma and lacerations as a result of the collision with the vehicle that occurred when the driver was shot.

Police say the 3-year-old is stable and the 2-month-old is “critical but stable.” Police have not yet said who or who might be responsible for the shooting.
