NBA Twitter slammed the nets for their poor shots in a loss to the Celtics

Wednesday night’s game against the Boston Celtics was a tough one for the Brooklyn Nets, as neither Kevin Durant nor Ben Simmons were on the floor. The other members of the team might as well have been offside.

Boston blew out Brooklyn 139-96 at TD Garden, with Jayson Tatum scoring 31 points and grabbing nine rebounds to lead the way.

With only 23.1 percent shooting from outside the arc, the Nets’ attempts in this game would have been lucky enough to make contact with a medicine ball (9-of-39). They also lost heavily on the boards, 57-32.

The Celtics’ current winning streak stands at 14 games, while the Nets’ current losing streak stands at seven games. This decline in performance perfectly matches Durant’s absence due to his knee injury. As a result, Brooklyn is now fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 31-20 record, while Boston is 2.5 games ahead of Philadelphia in the standings at 37-15.

Currently, they are two separate groups with opposing goals. Regaining Durant and, to a lesser extent, Simmons will be beneficial.
