A 32-year-old Massachusetts woman is accused of strangling her two children and her husband begs the public to forgive her. Patrick Clancy released a heartfelt statement on January 28 begging the world to forgive his wife Lindsay Clancy.
“I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourself to forgive Lindsay, as I have,” he said. “The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring to everyone – me, our children, family, friends and her patients. The fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace.”
The distraught father shared that “My family was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was so proud to be Lindsay’s husband and a father to Cora, Dawson, and Callan. They gave me purpose and I never took it for granted. There is now a huge void where that goal once was.”
His wife has been charged with two counts of murder, three counts of strangulation and three counts of aggravated assault and battery.
She has been charged with the murders of Cora, 5, and Dawson, 3. On Friday, Callan, an eight-month-old baby who had been admitted to Boston Children’s Hospital, was pronounced dead. Several news agencies reported that Mrs Clancy was also accused of killing the baby.
Mr Clancy asked questions about his wife’s mental health. He said she had been portrayed recently “largely by people who never met her and never knew who the real Lindsay was”. Despite not specifying what she was struggling with, he said her “condition” had recently worsened.
“She loved being a nurse, but nothing beat her intense love for our children and dedication to motherhood. It was all she ever wanted. Her passion taught me how to be a better father.” From Monday morning the GoFundMe page established to help the bereaved, had already raised more than $886,000.

“This GoFundMe is to help Pat pay for medical bills, funeral services, and legal aid. This help is especially needed as Pat will be unable to work for the foreseeable future while enduring this painful, life-changing tragedy.”
