An American business executive named Larry Miller works for Nike, Inc. He previously served as team president for the Portland Trail Brazers, a professional basketball team.
In an October 2021 interview with Sports Illustrated, Larry admitted to killing Edward White, a teenager. He had been in juvenile detention for four and a half years after pleading guilty to first-degree murder.

Larry Miller was born on American soil. Though his exact date of birth is still a mystery, he is known to be 72 years old at the moment. When Larry was a youth, he belonged to a gang, and while a member of the gang, he shot and killed Edward David White, who was 18 years old.
He said it happened because White was in the wrong place at the wrong time in his first TV interview. Larry completed his GED while in prison. He was 20 years old when he was released from prison and was apprehended shortly after committing a number of other crimes.
He believed knowledge was the key to his release while still in prison. In 1982, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Temple University.
He studied for three years and graduated from La Salle University with an MBA in 1985. After enrolling at the Urban League Leadership Institute, Larry received his degree in 1987.

After joining Jantzen, Inc. came to work, where he held the positions of President, Executive Vice President and Controller, Miller was able to flourish in his business competence. In 1997, he was named vice president and general manager of Nike Basketball.
There he oversaw the day-to-day operations of Nike Basketball, Converse and Jordan Brand. He was named president of Jordan Brand in 1999 and served in this position through 2006. The Portland Trail Blazers then named him president.
