There are many ways to make friends and influence people while at work. And when it comes to the more introverted side of the office, there are a handful of little things you can do to show that you care and try to please others. It has been debunked time and time again that introverts hate socializing or that they are super shy. Instead, many situations—particularly in the workplace—focus on extroverts.

I’ve worked with a lot of different people on both sides. Here are my top nine ways to create an environment where introverts feel safe and can thrive.
