Brandon Smiley, the son of actor and comedian Rickey Smiley, recently passed away. Rickey Smiley has since been in a state of shock and mourning the loss of his son. Smiley, who starred in “The Rickey Smiley Show,” announced on his official Instagram on Sunday that he had “bad news” to report.
He wrote, “I hate announcing this, but I just want to get it to you before you hear it on the street. My son Brandon Smiley passed away this morning.”
As the comedian shared the sad news with his followers, people began to express their condolences for him. Smiley has not specified his son’s cause of death, nor has he disclosed his age. Smley asked people to pray for him and his family as he prepared to leave for the airport.
He wrote, I just want all my cousins and various relatives to pray, be strong, and I’m fine. Pray for my son’s mother and my son’s siblings, everyone who grew up with Brandon.”

Who was Brandon Smiley?
Brandon was born in Georgia, and he and his brother Aaryn and sister D’Essence were raised there by their father, Rickey Smiley. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham and received a degree in Communications and Media Arts in 2012.
After graduating from college, he started working as an assistant director on “Rickey Smiley For Real”, his father’s TV show which ran from 2013 to 2018. Brandon has also appeared in shows like “Family Feud” and “Judge Mathis.”
