The death of Annie Wersching, an actress who appeared in shows like 24 and Star Trek: Picard, as well as Bosch and Timeless, is confirmed by PEOPLE. She was 45.

Wersching was diagnosed with cancer in 2020, by deadline. It was not made clear what type of cancer it was. When asked for comment, her rep said he had “nothing more to share” beyond what Deadline had already said.

The actress’s husband, Stephen Full, told –

“There is a hollow hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest of times. She didn’t need music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go and search. It is everywhere.’ And we will find it.’

Full’s statement continued:

“As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she shouted BYE! until we were out of earshot and in the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye, my buddy. ‘I love you, little family…’”

Wersching, who grew up in St. Louis and is a mother of three, got her start in movies and TV shows like Bruce Almighty, Star Trek: Enterprise, Charmed, and Supernatural. She eventually landed a recurring role as Renee Walker on the TV show 24.

Unfortunately, other well-known people have also passed away recently. If you are curious about their passing, you can find out more information by visiting the links provided:

She was at 24 for two seasons and went on to play many other roles on TV, including the main character Julia Brasher on the Amazon Studios show Bosch. Wersching did voice work and motion capture for the PlayStation classic The Last of Us in 2013.

The Last of Us is now a hit HBO show of the same name. She also played the Borg Queen in Star Trek: Picard not too long ago. Her co-star on the show ‘Timeless’, Abigail Spencer, wrote a beautiful yet sad Instagram post about her friend.

“My dear @annewersching 💔”

— she began her caption.

“The best scene partner. My nemesis #timeless nemesis, where we could barely keep a straight face. This is a devastating loss to our community. She has been the backbone of many of your favorite shows and ours. The ringtone. If you needed someone to come in and kick your ass or take a storyline or your lifeline to the next level, call Annie. This is so hard… Steve… no words. Sending you and the boys lots of love and support.”

Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog, the company that created The Last of Us game, paid his own tribute to Wersching on Twitter.

“Just learned that my dear friend, Annie Wersching, passed away”

– He wrote.

“We have just lost a wonderful artist and human being. My heart is shattered. Thoughts are with her loved ones.”

At the end of his speech, Druckmann gave a link to a GoFundMe page founded to help the van Wersching family. Wersching is a “private by nature,” according to fundraiser organizer Ever Carradine.

The fact that she was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2020 only made her more private. The description states that the goal of the fundraiser is to help Full take care of their three children, Freddie, 12, Ozzie, 9, and Archie, 4, without worrying about having to work.

“She wanted to protect her boys. She wanted to get better so she could keep working. And honestly, she just didn’t really want to talk about it. She wanted to live her life, on her terms, and be with her family. reads the fundraiser description.
