Hogwarts Legacy Chess Puzzle: Where do you place the piece on the board to get the treasure chest?

We are not done with the puzzles in Hogwarts Legacy, after the doors, the secrets, the tables and the tests here come a few dozen points of interest on the world map, the treasure chests. A fairly recurring type of puzzle in this is a chessboard that will ask you to use your spells, and incidentally your head, to make the chest appear.

Transform the room

The first step is to use Revelio, to find out which item you can use to solve the puzzle on the board. It will then glow blue.

Then it must be determined whether the object is a chess piece or not. In this case, for example, it is a chair. Anyway, try casting the Transformation spell on it. If it is another object, it becomes a chess piece. In the other case it is possible that the chess piece becomes another chess piece.

If you don’t have the transformation spell, know that it can be unlocked by doing all your homework and then completing Professor Weasley’s homework.

Solve the chess problem

The following is easy once you know the rules of chess. It’s a bit less otherwise. Your goal is to place your chess piece in a position where it can take the king of the opposite color. He is represented by a great knight in armor, with a shield behind his back.

You can move the piece with the automatic combination ofAccio and from Wingardium Leviosa (also unlocked through teachers’ homework).

The only subtlety is in it the pawnswho advance vertically, but who cannot take a piece other than diagonal. This should be taken into account if this is the part to be installed.

Solution in pictures

For the riddle of the treasure chest, located north of Cragfort, you must place the chair transformed into a knight on 3 spaces of the opponent’s king so that an “L” is formed on the grid.
