Hogwarts Legacy Balloons: Airborne location, purpose and rewards

Popping balloons is strangely satisfying, and Hogwarts Legacy lets you do it on a magical broomstick through Hogwarts’ Scottish skies, earning you some small rewards and progression in the Wizard’s Handbook.

What to do with the balloons?

As you surely understood, you need to make the balloons explode by hitting them with your broom. But it doesn’t stop there. There is exactly Each time 5 balloons, and you have to pop them all to progress in the corresponding challenge. There is no need to pop the balloons in order, you have to just eliminate them all before changing areas.

Awards

you will touch 50XP, which is always good to take. But it’s the progression in the special line of the Challenges page of the Wizard’s Guide that deserves your attention. Bursting array of balloons will be unlocked new skins for your broom, which is mandatory for the Collector’s Trophy. It’s also nice to have more cosmetic choices.

The different ranks of the challenge are as follows: 2, 5, 10 and 15 sets of balls.

Position of the balls

When flying, they are not difficult to spot. Usage Revelio will display them in blue on the screen. With the range extending talent, you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding all 5 of them in any area. We recommend getting into the habit of popping the balloons you come across, it’s less painful than going around the whole continent and consulting the maps. However, here they are, if needed. Each red dot corresponds to the general position of a group of balloons. You can also find them on the interactive map.

There are a total of 32 ball groups, plus 4, related to Professor Kogawa’s Homework, only present during the last one. They are not on this map, as they are indicated by the search pointer, if any.
