Heartstopper is a Netflix British coming-of-age romantic comedy drama series based on the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman.
Written by Oseman himself, the series focuses on Charlie Spring (Joe Locke), a gay schoolboy who invades love with classmate Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), next to whom he sits in his new form.
It too looks at Tao (William Gao), Elle (Yasmin Finney), Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy’s Lives (Kizzy Edgell).

What is Heartstopper season 2 about?
Heartstopper Season 1 followed the events of Volumes One and Two of Alice Oseman’s Heartstopper graphic novel series, which was published in 2019.
While the exact plot of Season 2 is unknown, fans are speculating that it will cover Heartstopper Part three and fourin which Nick and Charlie face their first real relationship problems and go on a school trip to Paris, and Volume Five, in which Nick and Charlie face and overcome personal challenges.
The third and fourth parts of the graphic novel series were released in 2020 and 2021, respectively, with the fifth and final installments coming in February 2023.
Who stars in Heartstopper Season 2?
Great news! Netflix revealed three new cast members who will join Heartstopper for season two November 4, 2022.
They stated in a tweet, “NEWS FROM HEARTSTOPPER S2! Call Priestley as Naomi, Ash Self as Felix, and Thibault De Montalembert as Stephane.”

What is the expected release date of Heartstopper?
Unfortunately it is not a word when Heartstopper season two will be released, but given that it wasn’t confirmed until May 2022, we doubt it will hit screens before 2023.
The first season was shot between April 2021 and June 2021, took only three months to complete, and was released in April 2022. So now that we know it’s in the works, we can expect to see it on screens as early as possible mid 2023.
