Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is a 2011 fantasy movie directed by David Yates from a screenplay by Steve Kloves.

The film is the second of two installments based on JK Rowling’s 2007 novel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. eighth and final episode in the Harry Potter film series, as well as the sequel to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1. (2010).

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the final film in the Harry Potter series, saw Voldemort defeat and Hogwarts triumph, but it left some questions unanswered, like why Harry didn’t die and why he broke the Elder Wand.

As most of the movie focused on the Battle of Hogwarts, the scenes were filled with suspense, sadness for the loss of some main characters, and eagerness for Harry to win the duel with Voldemort. Despite their tragic journey, the Golden Trio had a happy ending.

The Deathly Hallows Part 2 came to an end when the flash forward ended and the final shot zoomed out of King’s Cross Station with Harry, Hermione and Ron wave goodbye to their children.

The last scenes of the third act of the film revealed the true meaning behind many key moments, such as why Harry Potter didn’t die after Voldemort’s deadly curse, and why the Horcrux was destroyed instead.

The audience had to understand the deeper meaning behind it similar significant eventslike the moment Harry threw away the Elder Wand, what could have been his superpower, and why he ended up naming his son Severus Snape, the professor who mistreated him during his time at Hogwarts.

“Everything must come to an end,” reads the slogan of the poster. This is of course one possibly stark statement of the obvious, but the Potter saga could hardly have ended better.

The franchise has restored the essential magic of the Potter legend, which began to sag and drift in recent movies, zapping us all with a great final chapter that seems way better than CS Lewis’s The Last Battle or JRR Tolkien’s The Return of the King.

It’s dramatic, spectacular and hugely exciting, easily justify the decision to split the previous book into two.

With a final confrontation between Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) and our young hero, and the sensational one revelation of Harry’s fate, which Dumbledore had kept secret from him, the Harry Potter series is finding its groove again.

I was on the edge of my seat in the last courtyard scene back then brave young Neville Longbottom (a Matthew Lewis scene stealer) steps forward to expose the dark lord.

And what can I say when, in that last “coda”, the middle-age Harry Potter gently hugs his little boy before sending him off to Hogwarts for his first term – well what can I say? I believe there was something in my eye.
