After March 17, 2023, visitors to Universal Studios Japan will be able to participate in limited-time interactive Magical Monsters Encounters featuring creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series.
The Hippogriff of “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” the Niffler from ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, a cute little dragon named Pygmy Puff, and a young dragon who can breathe smoke will soon be found in Hogsmeade.
“In The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you can actually encounter the magical creatures,” said Pierre Bohana, the creator of the mainstays of all eight Harry Potter films and the Fantastic Beast films. “The Hippogriff is so authentic and awe-inspiring to watch every move […] the Niffler and Pygmy Puff are so beautiful and emotional, you’re sure to become friends with them – but watch out or you might get scolded or sulked – and the baby dragon is cute for being so young, but you never know what she’ll do , so be extremely careful.

Encounters with magical creatures
There will be magical creatures for visitors to interact with, similar to the creatures encountered by students at Hogwarts. When Harry takes his first Care of Magical Creatures course, he encounters a Hippogriff, a haughty creature with the head of an eagle and the body of a horse.
In the new show “Hippogriff’s Magic Lesson,” students from all four houses of Hogwarts learn how to approach and interact with the haughty beast.
