Entertainment Elon Musk Named New Twitter CEO, Claims He’s Better Than His Predecessor Ana LopezFebruary 15, 20230372 views Musk has appointed a new Twitter CEO. What’s even more surprising is that Twitter’s new CEO is a dog, not a person. Floki is Musk’s Shiba Inu pet. Twitter’s new CEO thinks his dog Floki would do better as CEO than Parag Agrawal, the former CEO. Musk famously fired Agarwal after buying the company for $44 billion. Twitter also fired its chief financial officer Nel Segal and legal director Vijaya Gadde. Musk posted a photo of his Shiba Inu, Floki, in the CEO’s chair. Floki is pictured wearing a black Twitter T-shirt that reads “CEO.” In front of him are some papers with his paw prints on the table. Floki keeps a small laptop with the Twitter logo on his desk in case he needs to send a quick message. Parag Agrawal, the former CEO of Twitter, is who he is alluding to. Musk said in a text to Agrawal that joining the Twitter board was “a waste of time”. Even former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey received text messages from Musk detailing his conversations with Agrawal. Dorsey, as we now know from the exposed conversations, attempted to initiate a meeting between Musk and Agrawal. What he actually said was, “I agree with you one hundred percent… When Twitter’s previous CEO, Jack Dorsey, stepped down in November last year, Agrawal was elevated to the position of CEO. In 2021, he received $30.4 million in stock awards as his total salary. Agrawal’s resignation marked the end of his 10-year tenure with the organisation.
