The ongoing dispute between Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi has taken an unexpected turn. In a weird diatribe, Malignaggi claimed that McGregor harbors sexual desires for him and tries to get his attention.
The outburst comes a week after Malignaggi was ridiculed by McGregor for “whining” about their now-famous sparring matches in 2017. There is no sign of a resolution to the animosity between Malignaggi and “The Notorious” and the former boxer recently took to the conflict in an interview in an unexpected way.
Malignaggi told Behind the Gloves: “It’s kind of weird now because if he just released the video, everyone wouldn’t be talking about it anymore.”
“I’m starting to think this guy has something for me; I get a weird feeling from him. Why do you want me to think of you so often when I don’t have to? Why am I still on your mind? Why not just release the video so we can both forget about everything because everyone can make up their minds about sparring?’
“This isn’t homophobic or anything, but I’m starting to feel like it’s a weird gay thing. As a man I have my rights and I don’t like another man approaching me like that.”
“I’m not going that way and I have the right to be a straight man if I want to. I don’t feel like I want to go that way, but I feel like he’s thinking about me.”

Following McGregor’s loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov in October, the Irishman’s head coach announced that Malignaggi was still a possibility for his next game.
Since Malignaggi retired from boxing two years ago, there have been rumors that McGregor and Malignaggi could fight, but nothing has been officially verified.
Malignaggi continues to call for the full video of the sparring sessions he had with McGregor to be released so that it would be clear once and for all who had the best of the gym exchanges.
He continued: “However, the man is gay, and I have nothing against that, but I’m not gay, so please don’t approach me that way, I have rights as a straight man.”
“Don’t sexually harass me like this. I want to go my own way. God bless you, you can do whatever you want; if your wife knows that you suck dick, you can join in on it together.
“I don’t care if your dick sucks or not but I don’t want you near mine I don’t want to talk about that but I’m starting to feel like if he doesn’t want to fight me but want to keep educating me, that’s the only thing this could be.
