Aardman’s underrated stop-motion film Chicken Run has become somewhat of a cult favorite in recent years. While Chicken Run is a great movie, it is often forgotten in favor of series like Wallace and Gromit. So the second part came as a surprise, but it wasn’t bad.

When is Chicken Run 2 coming out?
Chicken Run 2 will be released on November 10, 2023. That’s right, chickens! The family film will be released this year. Chicken Run 2 was first reported on April 26, 2018. Netflix did not publicly announce that it had acquired the rights to the film until June 30, 2020, the twentieth anniversary of the film’s release in UK theatres.
Because stop-motion animation is extremely difficult to master, we’ve been waiting for the final result for years since work started in early 2021. Fortunately, the November 2023 due date seems set in stone at this point.
Chicken Run 2 Cast: Who’s in the Movie?
For Chicken Run 2, there are some returning voices and some new ones. The official cast list is as follows:

Fry, Frizzle and Molly are new cast members, including Nick Mohammed, Josie Sedgwick-Davies and Bella Ramsey. However, the two performers do not return and they are the two protagonists of the film. Thandiwe Newton will take over the role of Ginger in place of Julia Sawalha. Mel Gibson will also not be reprising his role as Rocky, instead being replaced by Zachary Levi.

What could be the plot of Chicken Run 2?
In chicken coop 2, the story picks up where the first movie left off. Ginger and her new family face a new threat. Aardman Animations says of the new film: “After a daring escape from Tweedy’s farm, Ginger has finally found her dream: a safe island for the whole herd, far from the dangers of the human world.”
Ginger’s happy ending seems to be over when she and Rocky have a girl they name Molly. But back on the mainland there is a new and terrible threat to all chickens. Ginger and her team break through during this time, even if it means risking their own hard-won freedom.
