Brooke Williams Biography
Brooke Williams was born on January 3, 1984 in Christchurch, New Zealand; her zodiac sign is Capricorn and she is a New Zealand national. Brooke was raised in Christchurch with her brother Alan by their parents, Clare Elizabeth Collett and Guy Wordley Williams; little is known about her family, as Brooke respects their privacy. She became interested in acting at a young age and, with her parents’ permission, enrolled in an acting class and began taking part in plays at a community theater. Brooke graduated in 2001, at the age of 17, and then moved to London, England to pursue her acting career, where she studied at the Globe Theatre, Acting for Screen and the Mme Course. She won a Total Theater Award for her performance in the play “Gogo the Boy with Magic Feet” at the 2002 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Brooke made her screen debut as a waitress in the 2005 romantic family comedy ‘Meet me in Miami’ and she was cast as Erin in the drama ‘Kissy Kissy’ in 2007. In the same year, Brooke went to Auckland and joined the Auckland Theater Company, appearing as Juliet in their performance of “Romeo & Juliet”.
In 2010, she played Margot Bramwell in Jason Stutter’s crime comedy “Predicament,” which also starred Jemaine Clement, Heath Franklin, and Hayden Frost. The film follows two characters living in 1930s New Zealand and won six of the twelve Oscars it was nominated for. Brooke played the role of Maria in John Maclean’s hit 2015 action-adventure thriller “Slow West” which also starred Kodi Smit-McPhee, Cary Pistorius and Aorere Paki.
It follows a British man who travels across the United States in search of his true love; the film won seven of the 27 awards it was nominated for. Brooke also starred in the drama “Venus and Mars” in 2015.
Brooke’s most recent film appearances were in the 2017 short drama ‘A Woman’s Right to Shoes’, the 2019 short drama ‘This Place’ and the 2021 short drama ‘June’; she just finished production on the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Love Knots’ which is set to release in 2022.
Brooke made her TV series debut with her portrayal of Wanda in three episodes of the 2009 comedy-drama ‘Go Girls’ while in the following years made guest appearances in a number of popular series including the action-adventure drama ‘Legend of the Seeker,” the sci-fi thriller “This Is Not My Life,” and the crime comedy-drama “Outrageous Fortune.”
Brooke appeared in both episodes of the action science fiction thriller miniseries “Ice”, starring Richard Roxburgh, Frances O’Connor and Claire Forlani, following professor and environmental scientist Thom Archer, who has discovered that the Earth is in danger.
