At least 10 injured outside Miami restaurant where French Montana was filming a video

According to the restaurant and Miami Dade Fire Rescue, 10 people were shot outside a restaurant in Miami Gardens, Florida, where rapper French Montana was filming a music video (MDFR). The Licking, a chain of restaurants owned by DJ Khaled, sent a statement to CNN saying, “Our hearts are heavy and go out to the victims of this horrific incident.”

We just found out at the last minute that French Montana was filming a scene in the back parking lot for a music video, and we weren’t prepared for it. Restaurant The Licking denies any involvement and has provided the requested surveillance footage to the authorities.

CNN has reached out to the Miami Gardens Police Department to learn more about the shooting investigation. After receiving reports of a large number of casualties, MDFR reportedly sent rescue crews shortly before 8 p.m. ET.

“Firefighters arrived to find multiple victims with life-threatening injuries. Officials reported that “firefighters discovered other injured patients outside a local fire station” after initially responding to the scene where several people were found injured.

Firefighters “quickly begin triage to assess the severity of the patient’s injuries and prepare him for transport to the hospital,” as reported by MDFR. Ten patients were injured in the incident. The four patients who drove themselves to the nearest hospitals were all in good health.

The other six victims were evacuated to local trauma facilities by ground and air rescue services MDFR. In an effort to get a statement from French Montana, CNN has reached out to his camp. Late Friday night, the singer / songwriter discussed the situation in a tweet.

“Last night I was with some friends in Miami to debut my CB6 mix tape at a neighborhood restaurant. We were just in the wrong place at the wrong time when something terrible happened and people got hurt. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and their loved ones.
