American Horror Story Season 12: Will Sarah Paulson Work in This Season?

The anthology horror series American Horror Story was developed by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk for the FX cable network.

In the first season of the media-owned American Story, each episode stands alone as a miniseries with its own “beginning, middle, and end,” following a new group of characters through a new location within the same imaginary world.

Each season’s story contains some parts based on real events. Numerous actors have appeared in more than one season, usually in a different role each time.

But regulars love Jessica Lange and Evan Peters don’t show up as often as they used to, and not even Sarah Paulson, who rarely misses an episode, has missed a few seasons at this point. The one and only Supreme hinted to Variety in August 2022 that she may not return to American Horror Story:

American Horror Story season 12 plot

Every respectable American Horror Story fan spends the year wondering what the next theme will be. Of course, Ryan Murphy and company are keeping all the details about Season 12’s possible plot points very close to the vest.

If that’s the case, all we can do at this point is rummage through old, ignored concepts and speculations in hopes of learning something about what lies ahead.

While there’s speculation that cryptids will take center stage, and another reunion season similar to the crossover we saw in Apocalypse is a distinct possibility, Sirens may soon be brought into the fold.

Murphy kicked off the event in April 2021 with a survey asking followers to suggest possible future themes. Alien, Christmas Horror, Bloody Mary, Piggy Man, Siren and Plague were some of the other choices.

Neither the aliens (who had a memorable role in season 10) nor Bloody Mary (who had an entire episode devoted to her in season 2) will return after their respective seasons. It could be argued that plague, or something like it, played a part in NYC’s eleventh season, AKA.

From what’s left, it seems Sirens is the best option. Alternatively, season 2’s deadly Santa Claus may come running down the chimney for more Christmas.
