But in early October, Spanish legend said: “I hope you respect me. I’m gay,” in a Twitter post that has since been deleted.
The tweet was up in the air for about an hour, and Carlos Puyol replied, “Iker, it’s time to tell our story.” Subsequently, Casillas said his account was hacked and apologized to the LGTBQ community for what was said in the tweet.

After the tweet was deleted, Casillas said: “Account hacked. Thank goodness everything is fine. Apologies to all my followers. And of course more apologies to the LGBT community.”
The Spanish goalkeeper won the World Cup with Spain in 2010 as the team played well and won easily.
