The Jacksonville Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (JAGLCC) is pleased to announce the opening of the LGBTQ+ Welcome Center in Augustine. Our new resource center will provide information and resources to the LGBTQ+ community, including a bookstore, an LGBTQ+ history archive and an LGBTQ business incubator. The JAGLCC also partners with Augustine’s Central Florida Fairness Project (CFFP), a non-profit organization, to provide anti-discrimination training to local businesses. The Jacksonville AIDS Foundation Literacy Coalition (JAGLCC) is committed to creating an inclusive community for LGBTI residents, and we are excited to partner with CFFP to deliver this important training, said JAGLCC President and CEO, Toni Riggs. Our goal is to establish a center that serves as a valuable community resource while making Augustine a more welcoming and inclusive place. This new LGBTQ community resource center is a welcome addition to the city of Augustine and its LGBTQ community. This organization will include an LGBTQ+ bookstore, an LGBTQ history archive, and an LGBTQ+ business incubator, in addition to providing information and resources for the community. In addition, the Jacksonville Area Gay, Bisexual, and transgender Community Center (JAGLCC) partners with the Central Florida Fairness Project (CFFP) to provide anti-bias training to area businesses. We are excited that this initiative will help make Jacksonville a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all residents, and we hope it will also benefit the LGBTQ+ community.
