Zero Chill did well with younger people, as evidenced by the show making the top 10 on Netflix lists in 49 different countries, including the US, where it stayed for five days.

Zero Chill performed admirably, but Netflix decided not to renew it for a second season.

Zero Chill Story from Season 2
The MacBentley twins, Kayla and Mac, are the subject of the television series Zero Chill. The two teenagers are adept skaters, but Mac has a burgeoning popularity that often eclipses his sister.
Both have different interests to pursue and different goals to pursue. It becomes abundantly clear when the MacBentley family moves to England so that Mac can transform into a member of the Hammarström hockey team.
The maneuver prompts Kayla to give up her predetermined skating arrangement and start over at a different location. In addition, it causes friction between the twins as Kayla fights for her desire to be equally recognized and appreciated, despite how important Mac is.
Several plot threads are left unresolved in the final scene of each of the ten Zero Chill episodes; these may be resolved in the anticipated second season.

What can we expect from a Zero Chill Season 2?
The MacBentley family would focus on Kayla’s figure skating during the second season of Zero Chill as she attempted to return to pairs competition with an unusual partner and boyfriend, Sky.
Two female partners are generally not allowed in pair figure skating, so if Kayla and Sky manage to get into a competition, you should expect their rivals to be critical of them. Kayla and Sky would be the first female couple to prevail in a pairs competition.
As for Mac, the hockey pro refused to play for a professional team in Prague while traveling abroad. Instead, he has decided to stay in the UK with his family to help his twin sister Kayla. We’d still expect Mac to compete in some way. Other opportunities may present themselves that will test his devotion to his family or his desire to play ice hockey professionally.
